I love Hispanic music too...and i even learned a little spanish to try to understand the songs. Thing is people tend to skim the surface and form an opinion. And it's natural. Cause the human brain can only take that much info. For example i am an egyptian but i can't understand a morrocan, algerian, iraqi, Yemeni, tunisian, libyan, Sudanese or omani that much it's like a hispanic listening to italian. Cause we don't speak arabic in our daily lives. It's only in official business. But to the outside eye the mena region is the same. Just like most egyptians think latin america is about raeggeton, samba, drug wars etc... pretty ignorant i know. but like i have said most people don't go deep enough.
