Steph has influenced the game more than any other player ever probably. This dude has everyone shooting threes (even centers), Magic revolutionized the game but not as much. Magic was a legend but is not close to Curry when scoring the basketball. Bird is a better option over LeBron, better shooter and rebounder plus he could really pass the ball. Hakeem was way more skilled than Shaq but Shaq was harder to stop in the low post. Shaq would get your best big man in foul trouble in the first 3 minutes of the game plus he needed less time off the clock to score. Stephen A. explained why his team was so good: it's scoring quickness and speed.

But without a doubt what we just saw with this past finals is the return of the mid-range and even Kevin Durant himself is a proponent of the mid-range game as we can clearly see yet and still all aspects of the game changed when the defensive adjustment was made

Imma chime in and say a few. First and foremost Curry is a transcendent player. For two reasons. He changed the way the game is played. Took me over two years of investigations and remembering the past,that I as a senior citizen man with myself as witness,to even say,that Curry is among the great shooters. Then I had to finally admit,that Step is the most dangerous and accurate long rang bomber in the history of the game. Then finally,I humbled myself and admitted hes the best shooter in NBA history. But after he won one ring,I completely got out the way and said,that the kid, that will take that special place from him isnt born yet. Just as the next 6'9 pure point guard,that will take Magic's place isnt born yet. Now,with that said. Not only am I a student of the game,but not only did I play,but I played the point myself and come from two generations of point guards. Not only were all my brothers point guards,but my moms was even a point guard for 4yrs in catholic league high school. Curry isnt a point. He's a two. Hes a two that learned to master the point. I would even say,he mastered it better than the great Dave Bing. Both started off as twos. As for comparison. I'm not going to start anyone ever before Magic. Its certain shit you dont do,unless you choose Oscar Robeson. Now,if Isiah Thomas played Curry during this era,surely Curry would have the advantage. But Curry played during Isiah Thomas era. I dont very seriously if he could be a premiere player,do to the fact of physical punishment and hand checking. Go back and look at how often Nate Tiny Archibald got knocked on his ass. In fact Nate got knocked on his ass more than AI. The Curry of today,could deal with that kinda of defense. Thanks for allowing an old head to chime in.

All you Currydickriders solely concentrate on Curry's shooting. He's absolutely already one of the greatest of all time! And he's only in his prime! Unbelievably accomplishment! Here's where ALL of you need to come back down to earth. Steph Curry is a HORRIBLE defender. His lack of defensive skills are a hindrance to his team. Warrior opponents set offensive game plans to take advantage of Curry's awful defense. His terrible defense cost the Warriors a couple of games this last year. Defense is HALF of the GAME. So when ignorant delusional Curry Super Fans are already saying they think he's the one of the best PG's of all time? Cool your jets. There are countless amounts of great PG's from past NBA era's who's ferocious defense puts Curry's D to shame. If you want to say that Curry is one of the greatest offensive PG's to ever play? That's hard to argue. I'd agree with that. But when talking about today's NBA description of what a "2 way player" is? Which obviously includes how good a player is defensively? Curry's not even in that conversation. Look up highlights of John Stockton, Gary Payton or Jason Kidd. Amazing defensive PG's!

@Zay_Rich5 жыл бұрын
@@alyjulmiste1880 I said older not washed up or anything. Obviously Drexler was declining by then. Jordan was greater and took two years off so he was fresh for a come back at his age.
@alyjulmiste18805 жыл бұрын
@@Zay_Rich I am not trying to be an asshole but your argument does not hold up and here is why. I made a mistake and said Drexler is only 2 years older than Jordan. He is actually only one year older than Jordan which makes my argument more potent. Yes Jordan left basketball for a little but not the entire two years. He actually came back in the middle of that following year and made it to the finals and were knocked out in the first round. The fact that Drexler was still playing when Jordan was gone for one and a half season did not make Drexler a less better player. It's quite the opposite. When Jordan came back he performed not to well because, of his year and a half of inactivity. It was the following year that Bulls went on there second three peat run. Jordan is the greatest shooting guard ever. But, Drexler was not that far behind. Drexler is easily in the top 10 best shooting guards. Your point was to diminish Drexler's contribution in winning that year's championship. Whether you meant to say older or over played and tired, your point is still way off and wrong. If Drexler was older then so was Jordan. If Jordan can be effective at 33 then Drexler can be effective at 33 as well. Please tell me you understand why they both are the same age in this narrative.

@@chroniclesofjudah144 Cool and I will leave it after this. 1st year there was a adjustment period with Phi/Mj and Spo/Bron. After that everything change for both. Heat went to 4 straight finals and then he left to fish business in Cle. Look it's just the narrative that gets me. I don't understand how a player doesn't want to be coached but goes to 8 straight finals. My understanding is that coaches are supposed to develop player. Who has Spo developed, mike Brown, Blatt, Walton, Lue?
@MrGman166 Жыл бұрын
@@biglosk331I can understand why players like Lebron don’t want coaches especially great coaches to reign over them even if it’s logically going to translate to success. The main issue is typically athletes who come from high school straight to the NBA that are just a general star level player to transcendent level like Lebron, Kobe, Carmelo, Dwight Howard, etc don’t have a high level team basketball knowledge of offensive concepts and to add to that they get overly praised as been above regular ppl from middle school to high school. So they take that ego that they have invested in as kids into the adult professional world without knowledge of advanced offense and defensive concepts to the league and really way too heavily on the their physical abilities as a natural habit from their high school play. Playing in the college system just for a year or two would have benefited those players to have developed skills and team concepts outside of their natural talent which is why I’m off the opinion that Kobe would have won more championships in the long run if he had been in college for just one year at minimum. Not to mention that most of these high schoolers with the fresh high school mentality often come from single mom households so deferring to male authority is a complicated issue for those players. Only exceptions of players with strong father in this convo I can think of is Kobe Bryant.

@5:10 mark..lol how often would steph be in the position for clutch shots since 2016? They’re teams been loaded they are never in close games. Also between steph/magic as a go to guy late you have to go to steph. Magic was a point guard he looked to make the right play steph is a scorer.

Well truthfully Magic Johnson if he wanted to could have averaged 30 plus points a game but normally if he scored 30 or 40 points in a game it meant that the Lakers were in trouble because no one else was scoring so to say that he's not a score that's not right and at the time magic was the number one player in the league and the best player that we've seen besides a Kareem
@freddycalipari42425 жыл бұрын
