iskander21024 Thank you! I'm on the last period of 2014, watching Ilya's Final Fountain of Bakhchisarai and thinking about great 1995 graduates. and wonder how 20 years are short or long. A bit sentimental but a great way to say good bye to this year. And wish you a Happy new year too.

Small but well proportioned, doll pretty faced, very adept ballerina. Not a virtuoso nor lyrical but she knows how to show herself. If you watch the attitude diagonal of her variation, you come to know she has some problem in her back. you can find many such difficulty in the other acts. Anyway, she adjusts herself very well. Quite a job!

My dearest Bnesqu! I am sorry - for the first time I disagree with you. It is not a job - It is a true art. In contrast to other ballerinas Diana LIVES on stage. I must confess that after Altynay and DIana I do not see any dancer who could compete with them as an ARTIST. Other dancers may be more or less good or bad and that is all. In art I love total involment of my mind and body in what I see or hear. I am afraid AA and DV are - in my opinion - the last ballerinas or this kind.

Great to talk with you again, iskander. i had to say a work? For me so much part of ballet is work. When you're at barre and check your body, joints, muscles or balance and slowly adjust your weak spot in the movement, nail some enchainement and learn many steps of some choreo, all the hard work. When you're in the make up and costume on the stage, lights of the audience floor went out and the strong stage lights and music came in and when you live through the role, you just feel art of ballet from performers' view point, I believe. From the audience view point, if the performance can give you huge illumination, it's art. Recently I had the opportunity to see Mezentseva Sleeping Beauty with Neff. Strangely, I felt Tchaikovsky's soul in her. She looked like the pure, ideal beauty only seen by the eyes of long suffering, isolated soul which was cleansed by suffering itself. And I started to cry to find out the true beauty of this ballet. It's such a spiritual experience and it's The Art. I can't feel like this with others though I can appreciate many ballerinas of their virtue, technicality and strength.
