Consequences of attachment/association with a non-virtuous person. (Karn & Duryodhan) 2. Bhishma despite being more skilled wasn't fighting whole-heartedly. Bheem fighting passionately on the other hand. 3. Duryodhan despite being a skilled speaker, his intentions weren't good, hence the suffering. 4. No matter how strong a man (Bhishma) but if he goes against the plan of God, he may not succeed.

Lord Krishna is mentioned here as Madhava - the husband of Goddess of Fortune and indicated that victory and fortune awaited Arjuna. Also the chariot of Arjuna was gifted by Agni and was capable of travelling throughout the 3 worlds and was drawn by white horses.

Thank you Prabhuji. You very nicely explained how Arjuna was anyway superior warrior to Karna and how Arjuna did not betray Karna by shooting him while he was without his weapon on the ground trying to fix the wheel of his chariot which had stuck on Krishna's instruction.

1) Shathoh Shathyam With cunning one has to fight cunningly and need not follow morality. Example Krishna told Arjuna to shoot Karna when Chariot wheel of Karna was struck in the war field and Karna asked Arjuna to hold the fight till he returns on chariot, But Krishna did not allow this request and Arjuna Killed Karna at this moment. 2) Duryodhana from his speech looked to be very expert in political maneuvering but that is of no use as long as person himself is not pure and motives are filled with envy greed. Duryodhana was seen as personification of Kali Adharma. So we should not mistaken one with good speech as a sign of spiritual advancement but it is one of the character of Kaliyuga.
