If it was aborted in the early stages of pregnancy where it doesn’t have a soul then repent to Allah, do more “istighfar”, do good deeds, and don’t profess your sins to people hopefully you will be forgiven by Allah. On the other hand, if it had a soul you will need a “Kafara” on top of “istighfar”, repenting and doing good deeds. The “kafara” is to free a muslim slave and if not found then fast two consecutive months.

I think its reasonable to have this discussion with a doctor and sheikh. If the mental health of the woman will suffer severely, I find it hard to believe either a reasonable doctor or sheikh will demand a continuation of the pregnancy knowing the long term damage psychological damage it likely will inflict on the child

Cheap jams, cakes - too much sugar creates depression weight gain, memory loss, fatigue, lethargy, cancer, headaches, allergies. Forget the vaccines side effects , what you eat and drink will some way or form effect your behaviour and thinking. That's why it's important that when you are eating and drinking that you are not angry because the molecules form of water changes. Positivity, saying Grace before eating and drinking changes the form particles of water ( which will go inside your body). And you know that saying Your Body is YOUR TEMPLE? Guess what bodies should refrain from adultery and cheating because whoever you share your body to all of your goodness energy will go to them. Good thing about the lockdowns is that many people have changed their habits for the better. Eating differently, realising that we are living in a world of illusion, the 3d matrix world. The baby is always, always innocent, and a truly enlightened society would be able to embrace him/her as just as worthy of protection and love as any other child. I would have a niece or nephew right now that is now dead because the mother, from a Muslim family, would have felt ashamed of her family knew she conceived out of wedlock. My SIL offered to adopt the child, and the mother refused and cited this as her reason, so I'm sure it was early in the pregnancy, so perhaps she was devout. If so, I wish Islam had protected my would-br family member. I left Mormonism and can say that a person can make more moral (in the Sam Harris sense) decisions based on science than superstition.

The baby's suffering isn't the parent's fault, nor the baby's fault. I think they should give the baby a chance, and maybe by the will of Allah, he will be okay and live longer than expected. If he does though, it all goes back to Allah, and surely he's the best decision maker. If he has just 0.1% chance to survive, he should be given it.
