Islam & LGBT: What does Islam say about Homosexuality?

Im kind of glad there is this video that is made so kindly. So, I just want to vent here. In Islam, we know all of this is haram and its not accepted. But people around the world will make us the bad guys, call us backward and such and treat as the same as racists. Islam 1400 years ago, brought "progressiveness" before the Western world did. Islam ended racism and misogyny (since women were treated really bad then, still are sadly). Only this is something we cannot join in. I can't join a pride parade and I can't make them happy. Even if I respect them as people, it won't be enough for them. If I ever said out loud that I don't support what they do and call it a sin, I'm sure they would never want to talk to me again and maybe even say "I thought you were a good person, but you're homophobic!". So believing in my religion makes me a bad person? If they can follow their whims and desires, then why can't I? The trans thing makes the *least* sense to me. Everyone is born either a man or woman. Even if they get surgeries to change that, every cell of their body knows the truth, why do they lie to themselves? To do they force other people to believe in what they believe? Why are we told to celebrate what they do? I'm a woman and I would be terrified if a man who "identifies as a woman" was in a public washroom with me or my doctor or tried to friendly with me. I know this was along rant but thank you for reading.

You're absolutely right. They preach acceptance of their beliefs but won't accept our beliefs. And don't even get me started on the trans stuff... May Allah keep us strong in our faith through the challenges of our environment!

i think what he means is that you should respect the person, but condemn the acts. as in, you shouldn’t bully the person. because they may be trying their best to not fulfill their forbidden desires. just pray for them.

where in the Quran does it mention that homosexuality is haram, I would like to hear which verse? I can guarantee there is none, muslims need to stop mixing their own homophobic and say its Islam, just say youre homophobic. As a gay muslim, I know straight muslims really wouldnt care about this topic because its not really effecting them psychologically or in any other way, you say its haram ignorantly, even though nowehere in the Quran it says that, and then other people suffer from your ignorance, so what, you havent lost anything, youre still married or can marry and can be with someone you love, but you try to take the same rights of others away.

If you read the Quran, you will see the Surah about Prophet Lut peace be upon him. And yes it is, 100% percent haram.
