Islam has been asking for a top 10, top 5 opponents for a while. I remember watching him call out Chandler in a post fight interview, with Chandler himself on the panel for his fight then. So like he said in this interview, it's not on him that he hasn't fought anyone in the top 5, because no one stepped up, except for Beneil, who unfortunately got injured just days before their fight. So him not having fought anyone in the top 5 shouldn't be a factor against him to be next in line for the title shot.
