The difference is Volk is another level of physical strength over Makhachev, it drained him more than usual, plus Volks wrestling is fairly high level, not as technical as Makhachev but better than most. Volk has far more power in the thighs, you could clearly see it and Makhachev clearly felt it.

They were very evenly matched in terms of raw strength. If you think this was a robbery you are out of your mind. Volk did absolutely wonderful especially in the last minute but he did not won this fight. The problem is a lot of people expected Islam to run through volk but that did not happen and it was close so because it was close a lot of emotional fans of volk say robbery. If you look at the fight objectively you will realize that Islam won. Anyways happy they are both safe and delivered a very good fight👏👏

khabib and Islam arent the same people and people dont understand that. Khabib never said im going to KO someone in there game and actually try it . Islam said he will do it and he actually stood with volk. volk kept saying he wont stand and people say i wont get up. but volk all he did was get up and won a good 5th round. but besides that, volk got bested on the feet, yeah he is small but all those were built in for him taking this fight with nothing to lose in front of his home crowd. Islam 1st titledefense, 1st full 5rd fight , 1st time crowd booing him , 1st time with his head coach , 1st time fighting with 12hr less hydration time which i think gassed him quicker forsure. Volk just proved he can handfight and getup in the center of the octagon 2 times but he also couldnt get up at all and just screamed to create hype for his crowd. in vegas this fight would look different that crowd hyped every punch from volk which made it seem a lot more . But islam landed a lot of big shots , i never saw volk get dropped , never saw volk wobble so much and he cut him right open. volk finished the fight very strong which is the last thing people will remember but 1-2-4 islam had bagged
