We’re sick of fighters ducking contenders, we’re sick of champs wanting to go for double champ status after only 1 title defence, we’re sick of champs ignoring what the fans want. Stalling out divisions for up to a year as a champ cos of contractual negotiations is pathetic. We’re done with it. That style of champ is being ridiculed and rejected by the mma community. They used to get away with it but not anymore.

It depends on how Islam does at WW. Imagine him going up and dominating at WW like Pereira dominates at LHW. Everyone would then be hyped for Islam vs Khamzat or Dricus. At the moment, it sounds ridiculous, DDP or Khamzat will destroy him. However, even now, I would still bet on Islam if he were to fight lower ranked MW fighters like Kevin Holland, for example.
