Hahaha. He's not as fast had nothing to do with a bad cut. Islam isn't the best boxer has good defense, but Alex destroys him on the feet of Islam opens up more to stand and throw so he will wrestle him and hold him down the rest of the round again unless Volk can keep it standing. Just so lame to watch Islam hold him down for half the fight when it could have been all action. Glad Alex doesn't fight the same way of it would be one boring match filled with rounds of each holding the other down and getting nowhere 😁. Seriously, Islam was the lamest fighter that night.

Actually it does have to with a bad cut. Literally UFC Perth has the shortest recovery window of all. About 12 hours shorter than UFC Sydney and UFC Auckland which are nearby cities. That's what tricked Islam into accepting the fight. Shorter recovery windows give advantage to the fighter who cuts less weight, which is Volk.

I think islam would out grapple and out wrestle charles, keep in mind that charles really had zero highlights when they wrestled and when they grappled, he took too long to get out of bottom and he landed no takedown, on top of that we only watched two rounds, i think if it goes more then that Islam would definitely dominate him.

Charles isn't as good as he thinks he is. A few months won't offset the lifetime of training Islam has. The fact that Volk gave Islam a harder fight just makes him look average. I think Charles wins because Islam is already looking past Charles talking about fighting for the welterweight title, preferably against Colby. Islam doesn't have the luxury of looking past Charles like Tyson Fury can look past Francis Ngannou. Charles recognised that Islam got in his head last time and will address that. Also, Islam went with the "charles is a quitter" narrative because he submitted him. Let's see what happens if they go to ground with a mentally and physically prepared Charles that isn't a bit discombobulated after being caught on the feet.
