people believe in superstitions becoz of the false associations. its possible that someone in the past went through a series of negative experiences and in all of his experiences the sighting of a black cat was a common pattern . which he falsely picked up as the cause of BAD OMENS etc. this kind of behaviour is normal in human psychology. human mind loves to build associations . it likes to build association between various different things, it likes to build association between objects , events and sometimes people. these associations have a role and in this case they are pretty stupid . people need to understand this behaviour and reject these unhealthy associations to things and places. its the same thing which triggers someones's PTSD and is also responsible for insomnia within people. they have wrongly associated their bedroom as a place of struggle . but on the other hand are completely fine sleeping elsewhere .
