Sister you are strongwilled person and quite motivated and that is seen how u came out of that tight situation by the Will of Allah wen some people might have given up on themselves I have noticed a lot of philosphy in your explanation in the nafsiyyah concept if I am not wrong.I would passionately advice our siz to start with the quran and the authentic sunnah and use the quran as a healing and study them properly then you can venture into these other things since Allah says in Qur'an 17:82 "And We send down of the Qur'an that which is healing and mercy for the believers ,but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss." I v been following Daud Kim Channel for quite sometime. Before islam, he was a christian japanese and he was suffering a very chronic lonelines & chronic depression. After reverting to islam and learn about Islam his depression and lonelines gone and cured. And that is why brother and sister. We as individual and community must be prepare ourselves for case like this. When new reverts come usually we pass the responsibilty to take care of them to other, and then the other pass to another. Because we ourselves unprepare or even worse dont want to burden ourselves with people problem. Allah can give hidayat to many, but when Allah gives. We happy we clap we thankful, but we leave them alone. Nobody ask how they were, are they doing good. Dont we learnt from sahabat story, how one sahabat have people come to his house, but his family have nothing to eat, so the food goes to the guest. Thats how much sahabat sacrifice. We are luxurier than sahabat, but what are we doing? The change starts with ourself, be a better muslim and prepare. May Allah give guidance to more people. InsyaAllah.
