The city has grown so much, with the exception of a few key landmarks, I barely recognize it. But, it was a very special time in my life and I look back on those years very fondly. It's my hope to some day go back and visit.

I am from India and I must say that Pakistan is way better than it is potrayed to the outside world, shocked to see the beauty of Islamabad and Karachi. Greenery, clean streets, well mannered city plan and pollution free. Looking forward to visit Pakistan in near future..

Mumbai is old city while Islamabad is planned city in 60's. India needs to develop more planned cities. A planned city with well living condition keeps the rich people in country so that country can develop more. Otherwise our many millionaire are shifting to US, Dubai etc because these have better lifestyle.

Living on rent in Islamabad I can say that only rich can afford their own house in Islamabad, the property rates are very high, and the reason being its greenery, cleanliness, peaceful atmosphere and parks everywhere.

All capital cities are generally more expensive than other cities in that country. And it should remain this way imo. Otherwise people would come from everywhere and make it more polluted and overcrowded. Houses/Flats in London are 2-3 times more expensive than say in Manchester and Birmingham etc. I am sure same applies in many other countries

Just keep this city clean,green, pollution free + build upward (tall residential buildings) so that more ppl can live in one tall residential tower & not build separate House for each & every person/family in the city which will create problems to manage the city & during expansion green zones will have to be reduced !! City administration needs to stop/ban these separate houses units in the City & offer new investment opportunities to investors so That city can start expanding upwards by building 50+ story buildings !!

Islamabad is truly a world class city, it can be compared with any European city, cool, calm, clean, green, road infrastructure is best of the best, maintenance of landscape and horticulture in Islamabad is amazing. Govt, should make sure to keep it as it is, dont make it too commercial, its diplomatic enclave of Pakistan and it should remain as it is. Commercial zones can be built outside of Islamabad and best place for commercial activities is near to the newly built airport...Keep Islamabad quite, calm and clean as it is... cheers...!!!
