Island Camping | Cooking What We Catch | Fishing Fiji
Welcome back to another Immersion Fiji adventure. This is part 2 of our remote island camping trip. We catch some fantastic fish including big wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and Spanish Mackerel that we give to the nearby Fijian village. We keep a few smaller fish for ourselves and live the simple life, catching our food and cooking it on the campfire.
We also introduce to our new Immersion Fiji team member Iliesa and talk about why we started Immersion Fiji and how you can have your own total immersion experience with one of our off the grid spearfishing & fishing charters.

I’m a Fijian living abroad and I look forward to see your video on You Tube, it sure bring Fiji to my living room. I love your Walu catch, it cost an arm and a leg for a Ib here, cant afford it. At home you have the luxury of going out to sea and choose yourself which fish you want. The ocean, the land, the people, the environment, the food etc….amazing. Love the content! With a local guide is best ,they know everything about the lands and ocean , I'm going to fiji in july 2024 and hoping to go camping remotely on an island too,taking whole family of 5 there for six weeks , can't wait for the adventures already , 🍻 thanks for the info on this channel

2:30 that's mangrove jack, yeah? I'm in natadola and there's a cavern in the reef that always has 70-80cm ones in it. I've been tempted to spear one. Now I'm worried about this sickness you mentioned.

It looks very similar to a Mangrove Jack but it’s actually a red bass. The best way to tell the difference is by their eye. Red bass have a very yellow eye. Also at depth the red bass sometimes has a bright white dot down by it’s tail.
