Great vibes for sure, I recently saw an official video for this song, it's like 80's overload.... like they're in a prison with female guards, oh man takes you right back to that era :)

@@chasingfrets yeah I never saw that until a few years ago. I was in Greece, like 2-3 miles from the ocean. Could see the ocean from my dorm room window lol. Crystal clear water etc. So the vid definitely takes me back. I had a sexy German girlfriend and she had one of her brothers cassette tapes with a UFO album on each side. OMG, you talking about taking me back... kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZ7LZX2jpb6Eisk

Really enjoying the Alcatrazz tabs…interesting to hear how Yngwie’s style started and how it changed from here to his solo album Rising Force Especially lick 3 which I see in a lot of Alcatrazz songs like here, Hiroshima Mon Amor, and Too Young to Die, Too Drunk to Live
@chasingfrets2 жыл бұрын
Yngwie's early stuff is a favorite of mine too, lots of his signature licks come from Alcatrazz and Steeler era and to think how young he was when he came up with all of this is just astonishing.

Yeah man definitely, I’ve always been more of a fan of the Alcatrazz tunes rather than his solo work. I think yngwie really shines in the concept of a controlled band rather than his neo classical shred fest in rising force lmao

Im amazed you got a crappy Squier to sound that good lol I definitely think the old Korean made Strats were miles better than the Indonesian ones we have today , yes you can get the classic vibe 60s strats that have great finishes but they cost like $400 where as back in say 2002 you could get a Korean made Standard Strat for $200 that was a much better built instrument.
@chasingfrets2 жыл бұрын
Yeah Squier really stepped up their game with Classic vibe series with relatively affordable price, but Korean made ones are really great too no doubt. My Squier is a 2004 HSS standard with full body thickness, plays great and you can get some really good sounds out of it so I'm pretty happy with it. At the end of the day the tone it's mostly in fingers. Check this clip with Satriani playing some strat copy sounds pretty much the same lol: kzbin.info/www/bejne/emrZZphnibmqqtU

@@chasingfrets Yeah 👍 and one of the best guitars I've played was a 60s Japanese reissue Stratocaster, problem was they made them too good and Fender stopped selling the Japanese guitars in the US and UK markets
@chasingfrets2 жыл бұрын
@@Cayres9 Haha yes exactly, it's like why spend ton of cash on US made ones when you can pretty much get the same quality ( or better ) with made in Japan strats, killer guitars for sure!
@Cayres92 жыл бұрын
@@chasingfrets Yeah 👍 only way to get the Japanese ones nowadays is to import them and sadly you have to pay import taxes here in the UK of up to £100 on top of the £700 paid for the guitar 🎸
