You guys said in the video, you were asked " do you get bored out there "..... How do you answer that question... your reply " maybe you should get off the couch "......

Make no mistake, this is not easy. Climbing a coconut palm is hard. Swimming with sharks is hard… It is all hard. These beautiful people make it look idyllilic , but the reality is that this is hard, Really hard, But worth it. You’re beautiful people with an amazing ability to bring this to life. AMAZING!! Thank you!!! What beauty you bring to us all as easy. Whew!! YOU;RE AMAZING!! CATALPA!! YES!! NATURE IS REALLY THIS AMAZING!!!!! Well doing, and way to make it all look so accessbiblle!!

You are a wonder full family with great sailing friends experiencing some of the most beautiful Nature this planet has to offer. I'm very impressed with your coconut tree climbing Bella. I have two sons who were climbing 60 foot coconut trees when they were the age of 8. I was always so relieved to see them back on the trunk after climbing out of the crown. Your way of life is certainly making you extra special. Stay Beautiful. You are admired.

Your stories keep on getting better and better! This one tops them all. SO wonderful to watch a close family grow and develop; meet and make new friends. It's a good thing when you let your fans live vicariously through your adventures. Please stay careful not to grow up too fast(especially mom and dad)! Mike

I was enjoying another one of your families remarkable sailing adventures and for some reason it made me think of your amazing younglings filling out their first resume in the cement world. Skills: can help sail a boat around the world. Love trekking through tropical forests filled with exotic animals and little creepy, crawly things. Skin dive in the ocean amongst beautiful creatures. Swim with sharks, climbs coconut trees to get coconuts. can live amongst and feel right at home in nature. Love being free to be your self and live healthy life's. WOW! that's a pretty impressive resume if I say so myself. Hell I'd hired anyone of you just for your ability to climb coconut trees. Or you could just keep your day jobs and entertain all of us with your beautiful adventures. Stay groovy and stay safe.

I have heard, but not sure how true this is. When in the water with sharks. Horizontal swimming means food to a shark like a fish or seal. Vertical in the water does not translate as food unless it's a great white then all bets are off. Good luck.
@SailingCatalpa3 жыл бұрын
I have no idea about this but I do know these sharks are pretty timid towards humans if one attacked I’m sure it would be they felt threatened or you were in the way of a feed 😜

Another great episode......would love to see you guys adopt the south pacific way of climbing coconut trees - using a foot rope (for trees without precut notches). Would also love to see an unbiased comparison between your IRB and your sailing buddies OC Tender.....I know its not really what you do but we only really hear promotional material on YT. Cheers
@SailingCatalpa3 жыл бұрын
Thanks yeah it would be definitely harder to climb with no foot holes and yes that video is coming very soon 😜
@bunyipdan3 жыл бұрын
@@SailingCatalpa Using a foot rope is easier and safer (no permenent impact to tree) ...... the leverage generated by this technique makes the grip virtually effortless ...... Just got to build condition on your feet and ankles.

Stunning location again, I was about to say how lucky you are to have that life but stopped myself because I don't think luck has had much to do with it. I think you are able to live that life through sheer determination and the bloodymindedness to make it work along with an incredible well rounded family unit - well done. On a slightly more mundane level, what are your thoughts on dried fruits and veg? I hear from some cruisers that they don't like dried because dried stuff needs plenty of water, but you have a watermaker so does that make a difference?
@SailingCatalpa3 жыл бұрын
We are stoked to be out here that’s for sure and I love dehydrated veggies such a great back up water isn’t a problem on Catalpa as long as our water maker is onboard 😜
