Total Conflict Resistance is a new modern army strategy game combining the hardcore and FPS elements of ARMA and the squad control, customization style, and world map of the Mount and Blade series. This is the best of the strategy genre currently out there and it looks beautiful, even while still being worked on. The core gameplay is fantastic.

so from the looks of things you can at the start produce WW2 ammunition this being the 7.92x57 (aka 8mm Mauser) and the 7.62x54 as well as pistol ammo and shotgun ammo, making it more viable to loot weapons early game as you can create the ammo for it. i like that!

Gonna be honest, I bought this game a few days ago after seeing a bunch of videos about it and seeing more experienced players playing it… I understand absolutely nothing about it. Not even the combat. It feels a bit unintuitive at the moment. The production feels kinda thrown in for no real reason, I couldn’t find out how to take direct control of individual infantry, and the research this was just… kinda there? The game feels like it has a massive learning curve that I sadly just don’t have the time to learn right now. But the vids of it are fun to watch!

It is a little difficult to learn at first for sure. I do have a tutorial on my channel that could help. It's a little outdated, but the general information is still relevant, I think. Once you get into it, it's quite the fun time. To answer some of your questions: Press F on a squad to get the order wheel Production requires resources being in the correct towns if you sre on higher difficulty and research can be effected by building laboratories

@@TheFlumpySquid I see, I’ll have to check that out. I think my main issue is that I was recommended this game as being similar to bannerlord 2, for some reason. I wasn’t expecting to be met with what’s essentially total war: modern era, but more detailed lol.

So...Does this game have an actual AI ? Do enemies seek cover or your units etc... Is this even comparable to a game like Gates Of Hell?

Completely different style of game and gameplay, actually. Upon being fired upon, ai will go prone. At the beginning of a battle, the defending side, while in a town, will take up defensive positions inside buildings and behind sand bags and walls. Your units will also crouch or go prone if they are being fired upon. I've never played Gates of Hell, but I understand it to be similar to Men of War, but comparing that to this game is apples and oranges. Different aspects to enjoy. If you like a grand campaign, similar to Total War, this game is that. If you want only the tactics of Men of War, this game has that, but to a lesser degree for the moment. It's incredibly fun to play, though.

Yeah i'm mostly interested in playing this game like an RTS and not so much first person, i might give it a shot because it does look good and its getting updates
