I saw the Wall Of Death at Skegness in the 80”s. I can still remember the noise, smell of the engines and the shaking of the structure every time a bike went by. Amazing! 🏍 ☠️

Mr d there was a transport company in barry called s harfoot and one of the drivers there used to ride the wall of death at barry Island regular

These guys are totally dedicated with their passion. Every piece is brought out in their order and also their pull down pieces put back on trailer in reverse order. Now old is the wood paneling and I wonder if any have been replaced recently. Is all looks well worn and original. Thank you so much for you vlog. Spectacular 😁😁😁👍👍

Great insight again. I remember when we used to go up Epsom Downs Derby week back in the late 60s and 70s when there were so many great attractions there including the wall of death. Brilliant days thanks for bringing back some memories.

My dad actually rode the wall of death over the island back in the late 5o's. Frank Todd would get him in on the act now again. Great to see the wall of death back on the island.

Frank Todd was my father - he died in 1981. I have very vague memories of the Wall on the Island before he sold it.

@@missdebbie100 @Debbie Todd hello Debbie. My dad was Tom Clemett. Only passed away in December age 89. My family had lots to do with the fairground back in the day. My auntie and Uncle was Val and Eddie VanPragg, my cousin Sherri Crane Married John Collins. My grand parents had the snack bar which was by the old roller coaster and years later was in front of the Fun house. Dad used to work over the fair ground as a teenager and his love of bikes from when he was an Evacuee. So as soon as he could buy his first bike he did.. By all account your dad would get mine on the wall too.

When you said half way, by no means half way, they still need to build the catwalk around the barrel , there used to be several here in the US, but the cost to insure them is really high, and there are only 2 or 3 left

Had one back in the 70s with a rider named Sputnik! He got the name because he went over the top the same year Sputnik went to space! He got banged up pretty good but one of the joints broke his fall! One of the legendary riders here in the united states was speedy McNish Myrtle purtle had 2 lion's on the bally
