You did right by releasing that one. Even though it was probably a once in a life time catch, the value of the bull reds are so huge as compared to smaller reds. Great for the fishery’s. Love watching Kelly get so excited. Poor Gabe, hope your alright after the fall.

Kelly that was a massive redfish !! Congratulations! Bluegabe rig up a slip float rig for the gar. Set the float for 10 feet deep. That way it will free float the river and not get hung up on bottom. Kelly and bluegabe you guys are my best outdoor couple along with Robert and Sarah. You guys just put out great videos. Be Bless and have nice time in Venice.

You two don't need a ""BIG ROLL"",,,,, You do Adventures that almost anyone can do and are within reach. You're my favorite don't ever change! Someday I'd like to share with you about my great-grandmother who was born in the 1800s in Key West. My grandfather was born there as well. I'm 75 years old so you know that was a long time ago. Corey Malcolm is a marine archaeologist at the Mel Fisher Museum and we worked together so he could dive my great-grandfather's ship that went down off the coast of the abacos. If you're ever curious let me know.

That look like a super fun day on the bayou. What a beautiful day and beautiful sunset with 2 beautiful people. Miss Kelly do you plan on getting a wall mount done of that big old Redfish? You need a hat to leave in the boat along with the new beach umbrella. A hoodie like Gabe had on would be a good thing also. Do I see a new hoodie with a big Redfish on it to add to your line of shirts?? (If you do make a hoodie let me know and I will buy one b4 Joe VT can.) 😎

What a beautiful Red Fish! I like that you all kept the realism in here, you could have edited out so much. Fishing is all about the thrill of the catch, but more often for me anyways, is days like this. Close misses, fish spitting out the bait, lost my sunglasses in the lake, figuring out that I left the new lures back at home, my food got wet in the ice chest, now I need to find a private spot for emergency pit stop, and I hope there is some dried grass or leaves near by, etc.

Thank y’all for spending time in the beautiful state I was born and raised in. It is a treasure and I can tell y’all truly appreciate it. I haven’t found anywhere else like it. My dad taught me how to catch those monster south Louisiana garfish years ago using offshore gear. We worked hard and had a blast to feed our family and friends with this special fish. (Their roe is toxic.) I sure hope y’all find the monster 3 pound crappie (sac-a-lait, white perch) we have. My husband and I travel to south Florida a couple times a year and always love our visits. We look forward to more videos. Keep it up.

Stick fish are the best fish! They come up in all different sizes and shapes. I laughed when it did come out of the water and to see those big branches instead of a fish was pretty funny. That red was huge! why didn't Bluegabe have a bigger net in the boat? Super glad you didn't hit that with bow fishing I don't think you'd have your bow anymore. Thank you so much for the lovely video! Hopefully next time you get a Gar.

THAT was awesome guys! I think that giant bull red surprised us all. True story, and I don't care if anyone believes me or not, but back around 1986, my brother-in-law and I were fishing for bass in a 16' canoe, in one of the clear lakes dug for fill dirt to build the I-95 overpass at Sarno road, west of Melbourne Florida. It was early afternoon, the water was crystal clear, and we both witnessed 2 gargantuous gar swimming very slowly, only 15 ft from the boat, and about 2 feet below the surface. They never spooked, so we got to observe those 2 giants for a good several minutes before they cruised out of our sight. We were both shocked & could hardly believe what we were witnessing. They swam parallel to our big canoe, so we had a good gauge of their sheer size. They had to be well over 8 ft long, if not closer to 10, with one only slightly bigger than the other. Both had a girth much bigger than a basketball, I kid you not. We didn't carry along cameras back then like we do now, dog gone it, lol. Biggest gar we've ever seen in person, barr none. We were thinking they had to be alligator gar, because we've never seen any longnose, spotted, or Florida gar anywhere near that large. Over the years around here, I've seen a few other giant gar that were around 6 ft long. According to maps showing the range of alligator gar, we're not supposed to have them here in central Florida. So what gives? If anyone out there has any knowledge about alligator gar being in Florida, or what sub-species those 2 huge gar could have been, I appreciate hearing from you here. Thanks in advance.
