@@waynebernacheii3335 I’ve been thinking about how I wasn’t allowed to travel there for over two years over a flu and forced medical treatments and if ww3 unfolds I just wonder how long it will be before international travel becomes impossible or prohibitively expensive. I’ve been planning on moving there for a long time but I’m not quite ready yet with income streams… so I was kind of just thinking out loud

Many countries in Europe has Balikbayan Box companies operated by Filipinos. Basically, you get a big and sturdy cardboard box. Weight is not an issue, volume is. If it fits in the box, you can send it. Anything you do not want to get wet, you put in sealed plastic bags. The Balikbayan Box is not faster, but it's way safer, and you can send a lot more.

I know this service i think its more expenisvie for smaller parcels than polish post, but thanks anwyay, i will check them someday maybe.

I send Balik Bayan boxes from Ohio USA to Mindanao, Philippines and it takes about three months to get there. It costs $79 dollars for a 120 pound box (54 kilo). I always put anything that can break in the plastic coolers. Take care.

The best thing to send anything from anywhere to Asian pacific (I live in Indonesia) is by expres service like DHL or Fedex, etc. Yes, it is more expensive but it is flown and reaches within 4-5 days usually.
@IslaPamilya Жыл бұрын
I can't afford DHL its really not worth it ;)

Ah that's too bad things opened during transit. Next time put lotions, toothpaste, liquids in zip lock bags just in case there is leakage. I do that with my stuff in a suitcase. Many times I see things did leak but was saved because it was in a zip lock bag. And the meat, yes it probably was in a shipping container which is even hotter than the temperature outside.

Yes, the problem is that they open these packages at customs and then throw everything back. It not help for sure 😆

One week if domestic. If abroad 2 weeks. Take note we are in Dumaguete. It depends on your area.

Next time you will be smarter. I also learned not to send any liquid whatsoever. and nothing that can explode, like washing ditergents or other powder. Books, Cloth, Shoes, only stuff that cant spoil and chocolate for days. If ever I send anything that can explode really pack it seperatly in a shoe box and wrap it 20x with so much packing tape even if it explodes the liquid stays inside.
