I’d go a step further; the guys who do well for sustained periods over many seasons across multiple tracks AND on different bikes are truly goated sportsmen. Think about the attributes they have to have; strength, stamina, cat-like reflexes, sustained laser focus, encyclopaedic track knowledge, and samurai levels of control over their fear of imminent death. To need all that and keep performing at or near the top of the sport for years, no other sport comes close.

In Ireland in particular, and the island obviously, road racing is something we grow up with. Its so familiar to us that it's often entertaining to see people's reactions when they see it for the first time. It really is an emotional, intensely joyful experience to see the lights switch on in someone's eyes for the first time, and see a newly converted road racer take their first breaths of exhaust fumes and burnt rubber ❤️ I love this sport, and the community which continues to grow around us.
