Cracking stuff Sir and thanks for sharing this on KZbin . This was most likely a Saturday when there was a through service from Pompey to the north of England via Birmingham, hence the 47 diesel on platform 5; a proper fast train for London too, which only stopped at : Southsea , Guildford and Woking.

I had a summer job in the late 90s at Abel's Boat Builders in Bristol whilst I was at university and she was in awaiting her fate. Sadly the Southsea Society became dissolved and she was subsequently sent for scrap. Such a shame was wasn't able to have been saved.
