It can be if the ambient temperature is low enough to cause condensation to build in the shadowed areas, otherwise the heat of the tires would still maintain adequate traction at those speeds.

Yes, they legitimately can run this sequence of events in their imagination. Most racers can do this with every racetrack but this is an extreme example.

Just remember that this video footage is stabilized by camera software. In real time the bike is shaking, wants to move up and down, left and right, in every direction, feels like taming a bull by sitting on his back. It's pure madness and McGuinness is not even pushing it in every straight and corner, he's being very careful and still overtaking other riders.
