I have read his general of the dead army two times and i can read it many more times and also broken april, both are masterpieces without a doubt.

You should look into reading Danilo Kis, an old Yugoslavian writer. 😄

Thank you for your suggestion. I wasn't familiar with Kis and just looked him up on the internet. He looks exactly like the type of writer I enjoy reading the most and so I just order a couple of his books while I was still on the internet.

Thanks for the correction. I have to admit I was only making an assumption about it because I thought the stories sounded so similar. I know the Drina does not flow into Albania but much of what Kadare wrote about included other regions of the Balkans.
