Kevin for years I listened to the atomic prayer by Cindy Trim and She announces we come in the volume of the book it is written of us. You open the word up for me, I am so thankful and I know it's the Lord. Thank you Brother. I never fully understood tongues although I received when I read I was suppose to have so I asked the Lord concerning it and I received it. What a marvelous life in Christ. Yes the spiritual warfare.. But by God we run through troops and leap over walls. I was never satisfied with church, I wished that praise and worship would last forever but I love the fellowship with the body of Christ. I believe everything you say Kevin, I'm grasping it. You are helping me by building me up in the faith for my role in the kingdom. Thank you my brother and everyone who labour's in the ministry. This is a wonderful time. One night, I had a dream that I met you personally. (I have been to you 2 of your meetings.) In my dream, I was hoping that the LORD would speak to me through you. This did not happen in my dream, but you just made eye contact and smiled at me, and it was if the Holy Spirit sent encouragement to me through the smile. That was enough and just what I needed. This was seriously the best teaching I have ever heard on why we need to pray in tongues!!!! God led me to this as I used to pray in tongues a lot but disappointments and discouragement has crept in and I’ve been so unwell for so many years and no energy, become so lukewarm…but these last few days everywhere I look I’m coming across teaching on tongues and know it’s Holy Spirit leading me to it and my hunger for the Spirit is growing again. I’m feeling more alive and even though I lost my job a few days ago and it was an obvious attack of the enemy and I had no warning so ko income coming in to pay this weeks rent etc I feel such peace!!!! I had to get prayer for a release from my mouth, only had thoughts and I was struggling. You can keep trying and praying out loud and I believe god is stronger than your natural mind. Ask others to pray for a release.

Not every Christian speaks in tongues. I don't. Let's not assume. Yes it would be good, but not everyone speaks in tongues. Let's get back to earth and be realistic.

I think I remember Kevin teaching that all christians *can* speak in tongues. This is because the "do all speak in tongues" (1 Corinthians 12:29) is speaking about tongues as an *office* in the church, which is different from the basic gift. So those using the ministry gift can use tongues in many different ways. Other teachers who have taught about tongues, and have had very successful ministries do teach the same on this point. Of course a lot of churches have a cessationist view, or believe these gifts and offices and ermpowerments are exceptional. Others teach that not every christian can speak in tongues, because of not having the full revelation of what these passages in 1 Corinthians mean. But it is meant to be for every christian believer, in the basic way, such that one can be edified, the Holy Spirit can pray through us. The best book on the subject I've come across so far is Kenneth Hagin's "Tongues, beyond the upper room". It's awesome what is possible for "ordinary" believers.
