VALORANT are about to release their new duelist agent Iso, and in this video I go over some of the interesting interactions he has with game mechanics and other agents, like what happens if you use Kill Contract on a Yoru Clone? Or can Double Tap save you from the spike?

Eh, that's the case with all post-shot utility like Jett Dash and Reyna Dismiss, Chamber TP, Yoru TP, etc. It's really just in line with utiltiy of that nature.

The spike explosion zone just deals an infinite amount of damage to everything inside at a insanely fast speed so unless ur using something like a reyna dismiss everything will die inside it (excluding abilities like yoru tp kj turret)

Oh dang, was considering playing him but the shield having a huge hitbox like that is a dealbreaker. I don't want to be punished with peeker's disadvantage for getting a kill.

Nah it won't happen that often, you need to kill to get the shield, which mean u are already in combat stance. And since you already got a kill, the enemies know your position already, it's not like you have tp or dash to fast reposition, and the shield duration is not permanent so it won't affect that much. And the most important thing, you are playing a duelist without reposition skills, so playing on close/rat corner is already a dumb move (on defense) cuz at max if your enemies is bad enough you only can get 2 for 1 trade

uep, the sheild will be something you have after already taking a fight, meaning you'll usually use it when fighting more than one opponent

very useful tips, thanks A suggestion I have for test videos like these: if you wanna avoid confusion for viewers who aren't used to ghost mode or cheats, when you test something and die, you can just zoom in (read: edit) on the kill feed, while visually obscuring the part where you respawned immediately. That makes it visually more comprehensible, and you don't have to verbally explain it every time it happens. I know it's no big deal, but just a neat little idea I thought of while watching. Thanks for the video once again, very useful!

I’m assuming if you pull a viper while they have their ult up into ISOs ult her pit will go down. Also the shield hit box being big sure is a disadvantage but the whole point of the shield is to get aggressive and just peak an angle not slowly side step into it

for the first myth of the iso ulting each other, in one game when we randomly hitted each other with the ult we got transported in 2 separate arenas and the screen was white till the end of the ult lmao

Something i just discovered when playing KAYO is that by going down in the ISO Ult, i can hold him there long enough to the point where he dies (as long as iso doesn’t shoot my body). I was able to just watch him wait to get back to the map, and the ult timed out and killed us both. Some good tech because i barely got my ult off before getting pulled into ISO ult. Might be one way to counter the iso ult and keep one more player off the map for longer

i mean practically the increased model width in double tap isn’t really a relevant disadvantage, cus the only way you can get double tap active is if you just got a kill, so any enemy should already have a rough idea of your location, and you are almost never going to be walk peaking the next guy in that case.

i think the ult at sametime one is based of who presses it first there was a split second of difference (had to slow it down) you see one hand starts the ult animation before the other

Iso double having a big hit box is acc a good thing. It forces you to push out (agressive), rather than playing passive.

I think his shield doesnt really matter, in terms of visual contact behind cover. Its more like extra health when getting mad pushed by 2 to 3 people. At least thats my thoughts. Hiding as ISO with Doubletap active is like Ulting with Reyna while camping an empty site😅

if u have Godlike reaction time u can use clone before ult hit hu. becuse clone activates in 0.8 second and ult teleports u in 1.2 or 1 second

when you enter the spike is always does 999 damage everytime until it stops if you put auto respawn in a custom game and go in the spike your game might crash because you are getting killed every 100th of a second

i think iso ult is quite good against lineup postplant as a defender side. It can use while retaking site as defender and buy time postplant as attacker. While preplant as defender, iso ult can combo with some recon utilities to find and kill the lurker ; While preplant as defender, iso ult can kill a sentinel while lurking without entering the site or passing through main. Everyone knows it's not gonna work well as a main duelist in a team, but as secondary duelist, iso might be a considerable pick if got some strat to play with,. similar to the position of reyna, depends on the map.

What happens if you have the spike and then get into an Iso Ult (either yours or the enemy's) and then drop the spike? Does it stay in the Iso's dimension or get dropped where you would have been before the ult or respawn back at base?

Pretty sure you and the enemy is safe. But if the survivor wins a bit too quickly (before the spike un-explodes) you might just tp back inside it and die

Regarding the spike explosion at 9:27, it seems like it killed the bot account twice but only killed you once. Perhaps the Double Tap armor did prevent the first death which is why you only died once. If that is the case, maybe you can get another set of Double Tap armor after the first one breaks to fully survive the spike explosion. That would be very difficult to pull off given the timing window and it would be in no way practical, but I think it would be cool if someone pulled it off in a custom.

Yes, the double tap did prevent the first death. however since the spike explosion deals constant damage of 999 in its AOE, its impossible to survive with a one-hit armour like ISO's util

For the test where the ISOs ult each other at the same time, can you redo the test but with additional players behind each ISO? Since the ult traps the first agent it touches inside ISO’s domain?

2 isos ulting each other isn't a coin toss, it's the iso that ults later gets the buff, as it overrides the carry from iso ult and it takes the 2nd ult

Could you please test and demonstrate what happens to static utility such as Cypher tripwires, KJ turret, Deadlock sound sensors, etc, while the agent they belong to is inside Iso's ult? I've heard that they deactivate as though the agent is dead, then come back to life if the agent returns to the map after winning the duel, but I wonder if this so true, and if so, if it applies to all such utility or I'd there are exceptions. I relizs this will require a third person to help you test it. Thanks for all your info!

Can't get a third person right now but I can almost guarantee that all sentinel / trap utility will be disabled while their Agent is in the Kill Contract, then it'll come back up if they survive.
