I don't know what would happen in the 20th century, but in the 19th, when the South American colonies began to gain independence, there were many leaders who wanted to unify South America into a single entity, which perhaps wasn't so difficult, because at that time the cultures were very similar, especially in southern Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. But there's no way to predict what could have happened.

No matter how much they nerf it, the SA focus trees are still very powerful, for example: They get +15% special forces multiplier from one focus. France gets +2% special forces multiplier from one focus. That's like a 750% increase, lol

Wooohoooo i have an achievement before isp! For the welsh Argentina achievement i started as britian, conquered argentina, released wales, then released welsh argentina and played them, intervened in the spanish civil war, and used spain to launch an invasion on wales. Not easy.

Probably the USA, it is far enough away from Europe that you can basically join WW2 when you think you are ready and the USA is an economic powerhouse by mid-game. If you want more action early on the UK is a good choice but due to the size of it's empire you have to do more micromanagement.

I did the Welsh Argentina owning Wales achievement in the same game as my Brazilian world conquest. Was Communist Brazil, scorched earthed Wales and then released them before releasing Welsh Argentina as myself. Rushed going Communist and researching Paratroopers as Welsh Argentina. Joined Brazilian faction, declared on Wales without calling in Brazil and airdropped in. After the grind of the Brazilian world conquest it was quite a casual ending
