What I like about Isotta is that they're doing it almost all on their own and learning at it each time. They didn't have terrible pace at Qatar when Vernay was in the car(since he's a plat and an ex-Peugeot factory driver) and were keeping up with the back of the Hypercar field until some issues popped up. Given how they are a small brand with a big ambition who were keeping up at times with the likes of Alpine, Lamborgnini and BMW who all have much more resources and higher skilled drivers, it's inspiring. Just hopefully they find better drivers than Serravalle and Bennett as their other drivers, they could do good with someone who is a veteran and has been through the ringer of teams.

@@stingerbean1848 Because Vanwall had 2 years to develop the car from when it originally was planned to join(2021) and it already stunk. Previously they were ByKolles, a team that always had issues and never finished a Le Mans with any car, be it a CLM or when they were Lotus. Their Hypercar barely produced 600BHP and was about as fast as the stratified LMP2's, plus any time it pitted it would take 2 laps for the car to come out of the pits cuz they always had issues.

Loved the spirit these guys showed. Obviously coming from a long way back and without the resources of the bigger manufacturers. Remind me of Minardi and may become the beloved small team everyone wants to see punch above their weight. Wish we still had Glickenhaus on the grid 😢

I have nothing but respect for everyone at Isotta. To join a World Championship and going in there to fight with some of the biggest and most experienced car manufacturers in the world as a privateer is fantastic. They have managed to get technical expertise from known brands in the motorsport scene and have already shown decent pace at Qatar. As with every program there is something they have to work on. And I'm confident they will make sure to fix the issues on a technical and operational level by the end of the season. They will have their home race in about 3 weeks, and for that I wish them the best of luck!
