I can say that this level is definitely not an easy demon. Usually an easy demon takes me 100-250 attempts. This level took me 28. Even with the confusing visuals its a 9 star max

I find it slightly annoying how a minority of Geometry Dash players are better than the other players are the ones who decide if a level is a 'demon' or not Like for real, this level isn't hard because of bullshit timing or incredibly tight spaces, which is the majority of the hardest levels in the game, it's hard because it's visually difficult to look at, you need to focus on the gameplay while the screen goes sicko mode. (though the floor being safe in the boss fight is a bit of an oversight I think) it's similar with the rating of Platformer demons levels are at the moment, They all take under 1k attempts max at least from what I've seen, I think it's because people are so used to goofy ass slaughter house wave = hard demon level when the large majority of players will never experience levels like that. Plat. demons are a lot more accessible to players who still want to have fun, and want to get the achievements and icons, but don't have to grind hundreds of thousands of attempts to get close to the max amount of clears needed to get the last demon achievement which with 2.2 requires 500 I realize I'm dumping a paragraph into a nearly 9 month old video so I'll wrap up, I don't think demon levels should be expected to be this hard, even at their easiest state, players should be able to play demons and have fun at the same time, grinding demons shouldn't be a pain, blah blah you've heard me say this already

i'm a horrible gd player. the skill difficulty of this level is that its visually challenging, which is not dependent on the actual skill of the gameplay. therefore its hard to say if it really is a demon or not since people who can see what's going on can tell that its actually a super easy level gameplay-wise. defining if the original or my version is a demon or not is honestly dumb because the rating system usually doesn't depend on the visuals and cares about the gameplay. the difficulty to someone who can't see the level is much farther than someone who can, meaning there isn't a great way to rate the level. the demon ratings are subjective, and unfortunately the players that can reach the highest bar usually set that bar. also, its most definitely not the minority of great players that are making demon levels harder; most of the time levels are rated based on the player or creator rating. while creator ratings can be biased, most players seem to correlate with creator ratings so its clearly not the minority that's making demon levels harder. i'll wrap up too: this level in particular is hard to rate, so i'm calling it not a demon because i can see the level; just because demons were easier for you doesn't mean that demons should be that difficulty forever, and as people adapt to harder levels, demons should consequently be rated harder to fit the majority of people that find it at that level. those levels wouldn't be rated a demon if the majority of people didn't think so

I can understand what you mean with the difficulty being based on the visuals and not gameplay, and while I was meaning that the minority was setting the bar rather then raising it, I can see where you're coming from there too. I'm not a great player either, far from it. and I admit to having a slight bias from the perspective of players who can't reach the bar set by better players. sure you could always play endless easy demons until you get what you want from it but even easy demons are having their bar raised from difficulty as more of them keep being made. You can compare 2 relatively easy demons, Ispy, and Change of Scene. Change of Scene won the gauntlet contest so it's part of the progression of main GD, though it's harder than Ispy by a mile, since it's difficulty comes from gameplay, not visuals. Newer player can ease themselves into demon levels easier with levels like Ispy because of it's 8 or 9 star difficulty accompanied by aggressive visuals. Gauntlet levels get harder as they go on (usually) so the scale from the beginning to end makes it easier for players to adjust with the difficulty changes. But the vast majority of Easy Demons are different in difficulty, be in visuals, gameplay, platforming, or whatever else can be used to raise the difficulty. In it's current state the progression of Demon levels is very unsteady for Demon Levels. you could play 100 easy demons and not be prepared for medium, or you could just be good at the game and grind insane demons like it's nothing. but people don't usually pay mind to players just starting out, especially when the 'Big Dogs' are creating newer, harder, and more visually appealing levels. I've really got to work on summarizing and not just word vomiting...
