Excellent talk! Could you also do a detailed analysis of surah al kahf, especially the cave sleepers story. It also seems like an example of time dilation because they never aged and were transported 309 years in the future.

Salam. Interesting that the Shk mentioned the Hadith of our mother Aisha a.s where she states the bed was still warm and chain swinging. Did He ‎ﷺ leave from her house? Or was it the hat I’m or umm salama a.s’s house? Shukran.

Ustaz: is there not a Hadith from Ayesha (rta) that the Prophet (saww) saw Jibreel in his actual state, rather than Allah. Moses (as) wanted to see Allah, but he was told he could not see him. Hence humans cannot see Allah.

Good talk overall. Would have been better to stick to the prophetic vocabulary instead of relying on Aristotelian philosophical vocabulary as used by maturidi and ashari thinkers. Important to pass on the teachings on a platform that stays close to the prophetic diction, even in translation.

Consider also the Academic has huge Western Audience and Muslims educated there. But I hear him mention sources from Hadith and Qur'an. The best in this field for me.

I agree with you. But i also understand dr ali's position in front of western audience. Western is not that smart you know, so yeah we put down the bar so they somewhat understand
