I've said it once and will again: Izzy is the luckiest long defending champ in the history of the modern UFC. Not once did he ever fight a true high level wrestler. People will say "b b buh but what about Yoel and Brunson". Yoel has Dan Hendonitis, a decorated amateur wrestler, but he doesn't wrestle! Brunson was a male cheer leader in college, he ain't an elite wrestler. Anderson fought Juiced Chael, DC and Weidman. Even Conor fought Chad and Khabib. Izzy was guarded and simply fought frequently in a very fortunate time. Jan exposed him and Jan is nowhere near an elite wrestler, homie got rag dolled by Glover even who isn't an elite wrestler either. It's no surprise this happened. Izzy has serious holes but his fans and much of the media was delusional. Bo woulda absolutely run thru Izzy like a hot knife thru butter, Khamzat the same. DDP ain't a great wrestler but is the most effective that Izzy fought and we got what we got. Was insulting Izzy was near even money with Jon Jones at one time.
