Congrats to do Bronx, what a fighter. But regardless of his skills and will power, Gaethje definitely gotta work on his ground game. In both championship fights he looked paralysed and nervous a soon as he got to the floor. I mean in this sport you shouldn’t solely rely on your stand up game. It's not just the ground game. He over swings and leaves openings that more technical guys like Charles, even Khabib, punish him for. He's just not quite good enough. He's a Chael Sonnen, Urijah Faber, or Cowboy Cerrone type. Better than pretty much everyone, but there's a certain level that he just can't hit.
