NZ'ders are a sharp bunch. Worked offshore with them. Always great to hear their analysis and what a great interview as well, touching on the most pertinent points to boot. As a Saffa, obviously a DDP fan but Izzy is a very tough nut to crack with a great chin, very effective takedown defense and top drawer short hook. Lots of other weapons as well so this fight is the real middle weight champion fight for me. Izzy was a bit off against Strickland - who regards a fight seriously two weeks before the fight by drinking? That said Dricus has heavy hands that will down a horse. I think Whittaker and Strickland gave up the centre after feeling the power. I expect Izzy to do the same. I would have felt more confident in Dricus winning if it was'nt for Izzys short hook. Its a killer weapon. Otherwise I can see Dricus winning on points.
@944CoyoteV85 ай бұрын
🇳🇿 🤝 🇿🇦 People don't usually mention that short hook, but when he knocks dudes out it's usually with a slip hook in the pocket. If he can sit on a hook after luring Dricusin in it's how I think he wins. Respect bro. Good luck to the Springboks (except against the All Blacks 😂).

Alex, ignoring what is happening doesn't help. There is a rape allegation against you, and this needs to be clarified. Wanting to be a role model involves acting correctly. Many young people look up to you. In the last few hours, a bunch of comments using your catchphrase 'CHAMA' have appeared, encouraging violence against the girl who accused you of harassment. If you are innocent, even more reason to publicly declare that you do not agree with this type of comment, using 'CHAMA' as yet another form of violence against women. This is the time to be brave and honor your roots.

The statement had zero to do with Race, it was less yet similar to what Themba/Leon said when they were establishing themselves. He regarded himself as the REAL AFRICAN aa someone who resides and trains in Africa, unlike Izzy & Usman (whom he made reference on the media day of UFC285 fight against Derek) when he was asked if it doesn't bum him out to note that there won't be any belts coming to africa if and when the former african fighters go to africa. He asked "Did those belts go to africa? As far as I know they went to America 🇺🇸 & New Zealand 🇳🇿 , I'm going to take the belt back to africa, because I'm the African champion in the UFC, Myself and Cameron, we breathe african air, we wake up in africa everyday and that's what an african champion is and that who we are" He made valid points, highlighting the fact thst he spends all of his time in Africa - even after he won the belt he went back straight to AFRICA, and the belt is still in Africa, nowhere else. Israel Adesanya went back to New Zealand after winning his belt, especially after knocking out Alex Pereira. To him, he treats Africa as a tourist destination that he comes back to during holidays/off days. Those are facts, and they are not things anyone should be bothered by or concerned about. The worse thing Izzy did was to make it about race and claim that Dricus said what he said because he is racist ( which isn't even the case, and Dricus has explained what he meant countless time, however Izzy is fixating on striking to misunderstanding what was said to someone motivate him or help him deal with his demons of the past).
