Prior to him ruining his marriage, his music changed my life and even helped to save my life. I forgave him when he confessed to sinning and ruining that marriage to his 1st wife who embodied a Proverbs 31 woman in every sense. The anointing in his music is a shadow of what it was when his 1st wife was supporting him. I remember the turning point. The Power of one was his last annointed and powerful album. After that album, I noticed something different and less powerful about his music beginning with his "Love God, Love People, the London sessions" album. It was around this same time that he confessed to having sinned beyond the point of his marriage being salvageable. I now consider him a sellout having gone the way of Solomon in his later years and bowing to his current wife's worldly tendencies. Also, I don't care who is offended by this.Block me if it bothers you

It’s painful to see how loosely love is treated and how the enemy has even lied to amazing people like them! Contracts to make more money isn’t worth it if doing a show like this will play on the hearts of Married people! The show should be more of a spiritual healing and rebirthing of the marriage! Doing fun and transformative things together! Ugh!

God has people in all industries for a reason, to be a light. Some people choose money over the Lord. No matter where God calls us to work, we all have a responsibility to glorify Him above all. We could be a corrupt nurse, cop, lawyer or teacher yet professing Christianity. I've met people who have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. They will give an account for their evil and unholy deeds. Hollywood needs to truly know the Lord Jesus so let's pray for those who are Believers in hollywood, that God will keep them and use them mightily. The money didn’t phase me. I knew God would provide and He always did. My stance has baffled many in the industry and they think I’m silly for turning jobs down but I don’t just work in this industry, it’s been a ministry for me and it’s my job to be the light everywhere I go. A lot of times, im the only Jesus some of these people will ever know. So im careful in how I represent Him. Kudos on putting this out there. Shocking but not shocking at the same time. #lastdays

What a blessing, and sincerely encouraging because it can be quite difficult as a believing Christian to attain work in the entertainment industry, though I know it's possible. Your testimony is proof of it. It's truly sad to see many of these self proclaiming Christians in the industry who choose "money" over the gospel, compromising their faith for a coin! I think Nick meant that the principle behind wife swap was still hinting at infidelity; though not outrightly. He said he watched it, so my guess is, he saw the same thing you saw.. Either way, it's still demonic. The title alone was enough to connotate a demonic meaning behind it. Nobody should be swapping spouses, for any reason whatsoever.
@mireillemessan Жыл бұрын
Yeah I totally agree. Wife swap focused on how households were ran. And like when the two couples came back they would always show how happy the wives would be to reunite with their respective husbands. It’s unorthodox but it didn’t really promote adultery I don’t think and usually there would be conflict between the wives and the other husbands when the wives would change the rules. Why didn’t they just promote the couples to court their spouses again & work out the issues in their marriage with a counselor. Why add another human being to the equation lol this literally doesn’t make any sense logically. Wife swap made more sense because you see how other people live & the relationship dynamic with different couples. In turn the wives left feeling more grateful for their husbands & households in a sense or what they needed to work on as parents. But this literally is rooted in lust with the emphasis of “MUCH YOUNGER & SEXIER” people dating married people for a month. It’s really just a money grab at the end of the day. Just shows you they could care less that all money ain’t good money.

I also think it involves grooming. I follow this with the question, why do they have to be younger? What is wrong with desiring someone who is the same age as you and likely has the same experiences as opposed to one who has yet to have those experiences and can possibly relate to the other. I am not negating the adultery aspect but I think the concept of having a "younger partner" includes the idea of molding someone to "fit your fancy." And I'm not against age gap in marriages as long as the younger person is wise and mature enough to make informed decisions about being in involved in a partnership. Anyone can get bitten by the love bug. But how much more susceptible is a young person to do whatever their partner says because their "in love," or have not acquired enough experiences on their own consequently not fully discovering who they are ESPECIALLY in Christ.

Very well said young man. I've been married 30 years and like you said, there are always going to be ups and downs in marriage. God should always be the center of your marriage especially if your a Christian believer. But when peoples ego's are more important than their marriage, than that's the beginning of of the breakdown of that marriage. Cheating always starts in the mind then grows from there. And once you give yourself permission to engage than the virtue of the marriage is destroyed. And like you said, if the couple tries to sustain the marriage afterwards, the thought of the betrayal will always be the center or the deciding factor of the marriage. I commend you for tackling this very touchy topic and keep the good work up.

Going to a building call church won’t keep you or stop you from God. When I seek God i wasn’t praying or going to a church . I went to God one day after work in my car in the parking lot, and shortly after that God change my life and it’s been 5 years and I’ve never look back. I don’t belong to a church I study with some ladies on the Sabbath I read scripture on the regular, I pray every single day for 5 years now, not just when I go to bed or when I wake or when I eat. I don’t have a pastor or anyone to remind me to pray and to read scripture . The Spirit of God is my guide.

@Shalom Life Same! ❤️👍 I live my faith at home or go for a walk to speak with God. I removed a Christian friend who always tried to force me to go to her church, to always told me that I have to live my faith like she does. But God told me that she doesn’t have an intimate relationship with him. These are Pharisees. I‘m not against going to church when God is leading you to. Everything he wants, I do 🤷🏽♀️ And when he tells me to isolate myself for a season to first build a foundation with him, I don’t let anyone disturb my intimicy with my creator. They can make their church show, you recognize them by their fruit. God bless you!

I am not surprised by this because the Word of God MUST come to past. We get fame and fortune and get above ourselves. We forget Who got us there. We forget just who God is. Look at all of the preachers, pastors, gospel singers that started out walking in their anointing but begin to accept wordly things being unable to "be ye separated." It's heartbreaking. It goes back to the scripture in 2 Timothy 3:5, "They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!"

Baah. This is evil! My parents have been married for over 35 years now and have been through it all, even to the brink of divorce. Let me tell you a story: My mom loves to go to spa and wellness and they regularly travel to their favorite place in Hungary for her to get treatments and the like. My father joins her because he loves fishing and they have very healthy lakes in that area. Sometimes they join each other in their activities, sometimes not. When I talked to my mom once, she opened up about her being tempted because she got more attention from a male attendee of this wellness park, than was good for her. She immediately changed her habit of going alone to the wellness park to protect her marriage. My respect level for my parents sky rocketed. You NEED to set boundaries and stick to it and NEVER intentionally place yourself into tempting situations IF YOU CAN AVOID IT. Don't do stuff like that ON PURPOSE to jeopardize your most sacred relationship - even more so if you go through difficult times! From what I have heard, I am not going to support stuff like that by watching it. This is unnecessary drama, it is hurtful and it is against God's will, I firmly believe that, as the Bible says we should live a peaceful live. Also btw. - When I first heard that Israel Houghton was divorcing his first wife, he lost a lot of credibility for me. May God bless and help them, but I have a clear position on that.

How do the Houghton’s worship God on Sunday and on Monday through Saturday endorse a lifestyle that grieves, offends, or displeases God? Worship is more than singing songs, it’s a lifestyle of adoration, praise and the fear of God and awe of God is central to worship. It’s not something you turn off and on but your heart is positioned 24 hours a day to honor God. God is a covenant keeping God who hates the breaking of covenants.

Listening to this commentary I did think of Wifeswap and remember watching because at time it both entertaining and interesting but also harmless. It was more of an social family experiment to bring some order to an otherwise chaotic situation when it came to caring for the home and kids and possible harmony, structure and order. What Adrienne and Israel are doing is blatantly in your face promoting, yes sin, and creating the atmosphere of temptation and adultery. To go as far as removing the wedding ring to willingly date others is opening up the door spiritually to create more bondage for these already struggling couples. There are scriptures that speak on this where as Christians or Believers, we are not to willingly sin because of grace or don't think that God will ever put his children in a compromising situation that will tempt us. God does not tempt us with sin. We are lead away from Christ and tempted by our own sinful nature. This is ridiculous and the spirit of God is not in this at all. I would be afraid to ever think that I was ever involved in something willingly that causes someone to stumble. There is scripture on that as well where God forbids us to be a stumbling block. When I have time I will obtain those scripture verses for those who have interest of reading it in the Holy Bible themselves.

I've never viewed two as a Christian couple ever since he left his wife for her. Yes they went public after his divorce but the dates were too close for them to have just met. There was a definite overlap. Her whole journey has been her trying to prove herself because real Christians can see that this is has been fishy. I stopped listening to Israel years ago after I saw him on vacation with her just months after his divorce and she was in that revealing bikini. And they were not married yet. I know people are not perfect and it would be better if he had stepped down. This is like the Devon Franklin and Megan Good marriage.
