On Friday, Australia voted yes to a resolution supporting Palestine’s push to become a full member of the United Nations.

According to the UN Israel came into existence in 1948, which raises the question, how did the Romans invade Israel thousands of years before that? There's nothing to be confused about. Disgusted maybe. In the last 40 years the Palestinians have rejected every peace offer, the Israelis totally withdrew from Gaza but the rocket attacks into Israel started immediately after that. In 2006 the Palestinians had elections and they have had none since then. The death cult Hamas has retained power in Gaza and continued to attack Israel while spending large amounts of foreign aid on weapons and tunnels. Meanwhile, members of the PA in the West Bank have been living in luxury while talking about occupation but haven't shown the slightest interest in having fresh elections or negotiating an actual peace plan with the Israelis. That's pretty much it and yet Penny Wrong and the Hamas wing of the ALP think recognising some version of a Palestinian state will lead to a peaceful two state solution. Shaking my head in disgust.
