The Greens are a socialist party a/ because their members are b/ because the causes of the climate catastrophe are capitalist and c/ the solutions are socialist. And there's no getting round the last one Right wing parties might offer those solutions eg. Reform and the nationalisation of the water companies, but the solution itself is still socialist in nature. Do the Greens need to broaden their appeal? Maybe, or maybe by their very existence and socialist stances they can shift the Labour Party to the Left in the kind of way that UKIP did and Reform continue to do to the Tories.
