A senior US official stated in a Washington Post op-ed on Wednesday that a framework has reportedly been agreed upon for a ceasefire-hostage release deal in Gaza.

Israel's act against humanity? I think you mean Israel has had to defend itself for the last 18 years against Hamas. There was already a ceasefire in place when the people of Gaza allowed Hamas to carry out that attack last October. In fact, Israel has had to defend itself for the last 75 years against Muslim neighbouring countries who have wished to end Israel's existence.

Can Israel defeat Hamas? Its own military doesn't seem to think so, clashing with Netanyahu. The Israel Defense Forces' top spokesman said "Hamas is an idea" that can't be eliminated and that saying it could be was "throwing sand in the eye of the public." First of you can definitely kill a idea, history is full of examples of it. You just have to make that Idea a bad idea through any means necessary. Its just something cowards say to pretend they have some agency and power in their lives. You don't. Second no one in the IDF said they can't destroy Humus as a ORGINISATION which has always been the goal. Do you see the IDF change their tactics? No. Why? Because political theatre is not the same as actual problems, Hagari made a powerplay nothing more.
