Prior to the Islamic extremists taking over Iran, 1978, I had an Iranian penpal, I was invited to speak on their Iran/English radio station, I did. I spoke about Australian culture and many Iranians invited me there to see the historical sites, go camping and kayaking, fishing. All this, prior to the Ayotolla take over. I was in the military then, 1975 to 1984. All the M.E. conflicts began shortly after that take over.
