I fundamentally agree with him, that war is happening and children are dying because we are not putting Jesus first in our lives, and that's the theme in much of the bible. I approve (as if anyone needs it) Israel in waging war, and I believe as long as Hamas is keeping civilian hostages, they need make haste as a rescue mission. However, Mari has the perspective of having close relationships with those who've suffered unbearable and unforgivable loss in war, and because of this, likewise he has also not minced words with regards to President Bush. I think he speaks like this because the loss of life is much more in Gaza hence it’s much more visible. He has been to both Gaza and Israel so has witnessed the contrast. It’s true that each side need to fully accept Jesus Christ in their lives for peace to happen. The conflict has been going on for way too long and will never stop with the current leadership on each side. Their ideologies don’t work. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth simply does not work. I’m an Israeli believer- I don’t know if the post has been edited as this doesn’t necessarily appear so. Don’t get me wrong I accept the concept of what Bishop Mar Mari says here, however if you mention the Palestinian kids only here it means you are siding on the other hand with what Hamas did? have you seen the ashes of mother and baby burnt down in their homes because of the October 7th attack by Hamas? Why is Hamas using civilians: women, elderly, children as human shields? Why are they holding the hostages? Have you spoken of these parents whom their daughters are still hostages being raped by these Terrorists day & night? God never forsook the people of Israel- The Apostle Paul said that prophetically that they are a sleep for a time! That time is the time of the Gentiles who are the wild olive branches drafted in! The Lord Jesus Himself in the parable of the prodigal son meant the older brother is Israel, which is to be provoked to salvation by jealousy- Jealousy seeing God’s love also to the younger brother. There’s so much more! God’s promise to Israel through the covenants has not been nullified-though they are suffering the consequences of rejecting Jesus, by doing so they step out of The Father’s shelter, but never nullified The Father’s love for them through the covenants of Abraham Isaac & Jacob!!!

As a Muslim…we might have a difference of opinion…but we should be allies. When Jesus does return to earth only two groups will be looking for him. Those two groups should stand together. I wont try to convert you, dont try to convert me. While we wait for the day where we see who is right we should support each-other against our common liberal threats.
