Both Egypt and Jordan stole Jewish land. The Jews kicked out of the Arab countries were called Mizrahi Jews. Many were forced to walk to Israel with the clothes on their backs. This is historical fact. There are books written about this. The Jews forced out numbered 800,000.

The status of settlements which compromise 5% of the West Bank could have been finalized by Arafat at the 2000 Camp David Summit peace talks, infact land swaps were negotiated, however the plan was rejected by Arafat. In 2005, Israel destroyed more than 20 settlements and evicted 8,000 Jewish settlers from the Gaza Strip. The move did not leave an impression on the overwhelming majority of Palestinians, especially those affiliated with Hamas and radical groups in the Gaza Strip. Hamas and its allies misinterpreted the disengagement from the Gaza Strip as a sign of weakness, not a goodwill gesture on the part of Israel. Since 2005 they have fired over 25,000 rockets and mortars indiscriminately out of Gaza into Israeli civilian areas.

Actually, West Bank and East Bank were occupied by Jordan. Currently, West Bank is semi-liberated but the East Bank is occupied. There is no legal claim for occupation of West Bank. The 1948 Armistice Line was not accepted by any belligerent nation so thereby, it's an imaginary line as is the equator.

There are territorial disputes all over the world, nearly all of them a lot more unjust than this story. Russia invading Ukraine, Azerbaijan invading Armenia, Pakistan occupying the Bengal. But it is not interesting when Israel cannot be blamed.

And all of these disputes have some interpretation of generic international law that one side or the other adopts to justify their position.
