I watched a new Israeli immigrant from America today in an interview, she's excited to move into Gaza after everyone there is shipped off to America or the UK. She was right next to the wall, on her side was celebration and cotton candy for the kids, on the other was the tears and screams of families losing their loved ones. The reason they want to stop the trucks, is because it would force Hamas to release the hostages, and would save many soldiers. It is not what Israelis in large support, but even those people did this because they believe (not wrongly) that while this will look bad, it will force Hamas to release the hot ages and surrender, or force the people of Gaza (who elected them and largely support them), to do it for them.

Here's what I suspect Israel will have to do. Move all their iron dome systems back away from the border, so instead of intersepring the short range rockets, they'll concentrate on the longer range. Igmf course they'll need the iron dome to protect close to to Lebanon cities. Rest of the short range rockets, they'll just have to ignore, intersepting only rockets where lives are threatened. My opinion.
