This tank is surprisingly survivable. Thanks to its' extreme angles on the turret, and sometimes hull, it can surprisingly bounce quite a few shots but not very reliable. And even after you get penetrated in turret, which most people aim for when you're in this tank, because of your crew members sitting somewhat below the turret they can survive post-pen. Well, carrying no ammo in the turret also helps. Very sluggish reload speed though, definitely hurts in a lot of cases.

Justin for a mild correction, M322 isn’t at all like KE-W shell; is an analogous version of the m/95 shell from Sweden and CL shell for Italy. KE-W is from General Dynamics and is at 4 kg of KEP mass, M322 is I believe Israeli Elbit Systems shell and is at a whooping 5.6 kg KEP mass, some of the best spalling performance comes from this shell and it’s arguably one of the best shells in the game; along said 3BM60 and DM53.

I think most LWS automatically deploy smoke, and I think irl they're also able to tell what type of laser it is (rangefinder from a tank, laser dsesignator from a heli/plane ecc)

Israel could get the IS-3 in the tech tree, as (Much like the ZSU-23-4 Shilka, ZSU-57-2, and T-54/Tiran 4) were captured from neighboring countries that received Soviet aid. More specifically, these were Egyptian IS-3s captured in 1967 & were later used by the IDF as indirect fire artillery and as fixed turret bunkers.

The T-90 has a similar sort of system as part of the Shtora package (the TShU-1-1 & TShU 1-11 LW sensors can also point the gun towards the threat with the push of a button by the commander).

So I can describe how the laser warning system works. But I'm going to have to do it in a dumbed down way for obvious reasons. Foremost being I don't want to get in trouble. But the basic gist of it is that there's a bunch of passive sensors located around the vehicle that will detect the radiation that emits from a laser. Upon doing so it'll then trigger a warning inside to the commander. Past that, I really cannot and will not get into the details. I hope that helps you with understanding the system a little bit better.

Fun fact about Merkava 3Ds in War Thunder: - They miss 2nd gen thermals, which while lower res late 90s model should still be HD in the game because Gaijin models thermals based on generation, not factual - Even at 11.0 Merkava 3D is the best tank in the US tech tree even for top BR battles

I remember when they added first merkava premium and in same time everyone started grinding for merkavas...that thing was basicly unkillable hull-down and even when u hit it in hull it would just take out engine and thats it...but now..its same as leo2a4,trolly turret but easy kill so i dont plan on grinding israel any time soon😄

At least I don't like it, I prefer the Merkava 2D, which I use even in top tier, but it has better survival than the Segol, which a shot enters wherever they shoot at it, it is basically One shot, not to mention that if You have more than 6 shots, the ammunition covers all parts of the tank, so where a shot enters it hits the ammunition that makes it detonate. The 2D lasts much longer and is less prone to dying and I have faced T-90M and T80 tanks. I think that for BR 11.0 it is too much, it should be in BR 10.3 since it is also too big, slow and has old thermal sights. The only saving grace is the cannon and that it has a lot of smoke.

Heu there justin, i recently bought this tank with your code and i must say th APS system works now, idk why but it acts like a trophy system and destroys the guided missile and then it deploys smoke, it doesn't rotate the turret automatically tho so you have to stay a little allert

@@JustinPlaysTV Yeah idk if it's a bug or not but I tested it both in game and test drive and when I get shot at by an ATGM it gets destroyed like 30 cm from my tank and then smoke gets autodeployed, the strange thing is that it works like them trophy system from the merkava mk4msince after 4 ATGM destroyed by side it doesn't work anymore XD

@@JustinPlaysTV oh and since you're gonna re visit it make sure to use it's "nuclear" round, the HE-VT the tank has has 60 mm of pen and when you shoot it at the tracks/side skirts it's 90% a one shot one kill (especially on russian tanks)

The Merkava has, atleast according to woke people, a design philosophy which prioritizes killing infantry and mowing down tons of people, which in the current conflict, woke people agenda criticized the tank claiming that it was made to oppress the palestinians. I think it's understandable for Justin to have to clarify that as it is a political matter; a topic that has no place in this game

have you taken a look at the Leclercs since they got their reload buff? It definitely improved a lot the experience for me, especially fighting M1s, having that 5sec reload. Armor still is meh, but I wouldn't say that the Abrams is much better, everybody just shoots at the weakspots anyways

Waited months for the Mk3D...and they dropped it as Premium. Ik ik it's a prototyped version with a soft-kill APS system coupled with the LWS, still... Too bad, i'm done with the game, i rather prefer watching my fav CCs playing it. Less stressful and i can go with my friends on something truly fun like Helldivers, i having a total blast! It's being years since i played something and having fun. For sure the last 2 years on WT were totally the opposite.

is the Israel AH-60 that bad its got spike missiles heck the American one doesn't even have them. Im half way threw grinding that AH-60 don't tell me that? No way that Helicopter can be that bad. Also, what type of headphones or sound system is @JustinPlays using? I cant hear the enemy tanks that damn good and I use a Logitech G PRO X 2 Lightspeed headset and still the sound isn't even good enough for me to hear and call out enemy tanks with ease like ya do. Just wonder what equipment you pushing to hear it like that?

Israel is a cool nation to play BUT the whole damn Tech tree is actively forcing players to buy premium vehicle. For example, you have to grind stock air tree with bad bf 109 clone, or limited choices in beginner line-up for tank. France or Italy has better beginner grinding process than Israel does, in my opinion.
