Israel Says Biden's Threat to Halt Arms Supply "Very Disappointing" | Vantage with Palki Sharma
Israel has expressed its disappointment over US President Joe Biden’s threat to stop arms supply as Rafah offensive looms. Washington has warned it will halt weapons supplies to Israel if it proceeds with its operation in Rafah. Despite such threats from one of its closest allies, Israel continues to expand its military operation in the Southern Gaza city. The US has historically provided enormous amounts of military aid to Israel, which has only accelerated in the aftermath of Hamas’ October 7 attack. The United Nations has said that around 80,000 people have fled Rafah in the last three days. The UN has already warned Israel against an operation in Rafah, saying that it could be a “slaughter of civilians”.
