Former Labor MP Michael Danby discusses the assassination of the leader of Hamas' political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh.
"It was to send a message from Jerusalem to Hamas that 70 years after the Second World War if you kill a bunch of Jews or Israelis, the people who organised it will not get away with it," Mr Danby told Sky News host Gabriella Power.
"Also importantly, as a message to Iran, if you continue to use all of your proxies all around the Middle East Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, all funded by Tehran … we can get you."
