"tragic mishap" Wasn't phrasing like this also used when they killed a bunch of WCK aid workers despite coordinating with the IDF?
@thehaus6998
@thehaus6998 4 ай бұрын
the thing is it's not something that was specific to those foreign workers, communication in an army is extremly important and considerably hard to maintain, there is probably many victims of it including Israeli soldiers, so the strike on the aid workers was most likley not intentional at all, but due to the fact that I'm fairly sure it was at night, and if you know ANYTHING about military drone hardware, is that it's vision is very mediocare at best, and at night with probably low quality sight due to infared and other such, it caused the deaths, same happend to israeli soldiers who got shot at by a tank because he saw the barrel of their gun and was supposed to be informed of their presence it's not really intentional at all, the fact is a massive army is operating in a very small area in a very stressful time and so communication and direct messaging is a hard thing to convey and do, it is by all results, a tragic mishap

@@thehaus6998 Israel cannot make unilateral decisions to destroy any convoy it likes without confirming a valid target, even if they didn't know it was an aid convoy they ought to, the aid convoy not only had a beacon but communicated its mission with the IDF. The IDF also benefitted from their deaths as it prevented aid not only imminently but substantially reduced aid workers there. The fact that humanitarian charities are more concerned about the IDF killing them than the literal terrorist organisation says a lot about the IDF. It was murder to facilitate a genocide aka War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity. Intention can be inferred from conduct and whether or not its intentional its at best depraved indifference for the safety of non-combatants and humanitarian aid workers.

By late February, the Israeli air force had hit 29,000 targets in Gaza. Today, the total number of casualties (both civilians and fighters) is 36,000. Estimates put the number of fighters at 10-13k. This means that 0.89-0.79 civilians died per airstrike. In one of the most complex urban combat environments in the world. And the way I took the numbers means thats a highball estimate.

Nethanayu said the strike on rafah was a "tragic accident". Remember for the past months and more intense the past weeks almost every supporter of israel said that any attack on Rafah would result in mass civilian dead and suffering. This is not an accident. it is exactly what was expected. True the missile and bombs might have gone of target, so technically it is an accident, but those happen quite often in war. So again. This result is EXACTLY as foretold. Therefore it can only be concluded, that Nethanayus government has done so on purpose with full knowledge and intent. Maybe not intent to kill these specific civilians, but full intent to take an action which would 100% result in this "accident"
@Arielz41
@Arielz41 4 ай бұрын
Much less than anticipated. Rafah has been a thing for a while, and people received evacuation warnings weeks and months ahead to move to the safe zone . Israel targeted senior Hamas members and accidentally hit an ammunition stockpile there. So, is it really Israel to blame for killing civilians who shouldn't have been there in the first place, given that Hamas leaders and ammunition were hidden among them?
@AlphaHorst
@AlphaHorst 4 ай бұрын
@Arielz41 First and foremost. The warnings came because it was absolutely impossible to evacuate. It was a farce. Not even 10% of the people inside Rafah had space in the new designated area. So, the evacuation order was already impossible to fulfil Secondly, the IDF somehow missed a massive weapons storage but found senior Hamas officials? Once again, they did only a half assed job of reconnaissance and failed to go through all necessary checks before authorising any strikes. It is the whole WCR thing all over. The IDF have fought exclusively im cities for over 2 decades, and yet they make the same mistakes we learned over 30 years ago over and over again. That is laziness, callousness, and intent right there.
@nsk370
@nsk370 4 ай бұрын
Unlike in other incidents where the targeting was much more questionable, in this case they actually targeted Hamas terrorists and with smaller warheads. The massive collateral damage was due to (it seems) secondary explosions of Hamas weapons and/or fuel and because Hamas is embedding themselves in civilian areas and using civilians as human shields. Yes, the footage coming from the strike is horrific, but we shouldn't cloud our rational jugement with emotion. In this particular case, it seems, almost all the blame is on Hamas.

What *can* they do when Russia bombs electricity infrastructure during winter that they aren't already doing? More sanctions (somehow)? Intervene in the war outright? As for Sudan, that one is mostly outside public consciousness. Unlike Israel, who's supposed to be a Western country, and with a complex history that makes it easy to be on either side of the aisle, Sudan just doesn't appeal to public consciousness. The actions taken in Sudan are essentially completely unrelated to the West, outside its once colonial nature, the West has essentially nothing to do with any of it.

No it won’t be enforced Scholz might speak strong, but he can’t risk a vote of no confidence which the CDU would trigger ( currently the result of election would be the worst in the party’s history). For the rest of Europe the position has always been clear : Israel has the rights agreed upon since its foundation, meaning the EU and US won’t act in interference to military actions enacted against Hamas which is classified as „terrorist organization“ technically prohibiting negotiations, this is because both parties know that this would come to bite them later ( since should there be a new escalation the west would be to blame). At the current time it seems that the agreement made by Israel and its allies is that they can go ahead with their operation as long as the backslash at home is not great enough that it majorly affects Muslim voters. Suprise it has should all elections result as currently anticipated Israel will be able to continue its efforts in 2025 with both Germany, USA and France entering their most conservative governments in a long time ( for Germany 30 years for France 15 and you know Trump)

Really, Israel just doesn't know how to fight this kind of war. There might be pretty lines on maps to indicate where most countries in the middle east begin and end, but in reality most countries in the middle east look more like maps in the game Crusader Kings 3, with hundreds of little partisan groups and de facto sovereign nations. All that to say that you can't fight wars in these regions like you can a traditional war in a developed part of the world. Not only does running in there to kill people just make people hate you more, but you'll get more partisan groups there, making the middle east even more complicated. Really, what they need to be doing is fighting this war in the minds of the Palestinians by helping them, so they reject Hamas and come to peaceful terms with the Israelis (with less walls between them, perhaps even free movement between the countries), but I know they won't do that because the IDF has a history of randomly kidnapping Palestinians in the night then releasing them just to make them more fearful. They're too blinded by their prejudice and hatred to be able to properly make the problem end.

These attacks are absolutely devastating to see. There is a lot in I will condemn Israel on. But, one question begs to be answered. Why aren't the hostages released? This gives Israel a very strong leg to stand on. All of the EU would be doing the same as Israel, if their country got invaded/attacked and the attacker took hostages. So the EU can shut the hell up, respectably. Israel will continue to do whatever it takes to get its citizens back. The moment all the hostages are accounted for in Jerusalem, is the moment this war starts to wind down and true talks to end hostility will take place. HAMAS knows this. So no matter how bad the optics look, Israel will get its citizens back, either alive or in a body bag. HAMAS is causing all of this as long as they continue to hold hostages. 121 unaccounted for hostages as of 4 days ago.
