Ceasefire: (As interpreted by the civilized world) - Stop shooting/bombing and sit down at the negotiation table and sort out the problem. Ceasefire: (As interpreted by Israel) - A convenient time to re-group your forces and then do sneak attacks, as hard as possible, while your opponent is still waiting to talk at the negotiating table. I feel your frustration about how the world is allowing this to continue. Even Genghis Khan would probably have looked upon this as purely barbaric.
