This is why non violence movement was so important for India, it created an identity for India, to handle great geo-political challenges. Europe is not the problem, although the roots were placed by Europe. But you need to have principles strategies not just pure violence. The greatest battles are won not in the battlefields. I just like to add that I know as mentioned by so many, the reasons why British left India. But my point was, as we are a future gen from the people who fought for independence. There has to be a way where non-violence can truly create peace that we haven't found yet. We must keep looking for it, war maybe or sometimes is inevitable, but we gotta keep looking for better ways. A revolution of peace for the 21st century.

I just want to point out that India's movement was not non violent, non violence was just one of the forms it took. We can't discard the 1857 sepoy mutiny, Bose, Bhagat Singh and all those who took to arms to fight back against the oppressive regime. Similarly, you can't forget the horrors of Jalliawalanbagh and the Partition either, both of which took a violent turn. I'm not advocating for war, but you have to realise that all the atrocities being committed right now by Hamas are a result of being pushed, suppressed, killed, raped, bombed and silenced by the Israelis for decades. Not to mention Hamas themselves were funded by Israel; to push out leftist, moderate governments from the Palestinian cause.

1) When Hamas attacked Israeli civilians it's called terror attack but when Israeli forces/settlers have been killing Palestinian civilians it's not called terror attack why double standards and Hypocrisy? 2) In the year 2023 alone more than 200 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces along with settlers,attacks on al aqsa masjid, worshippers, Bombarding gaza, blocking gaza for more than a decade, occupation of Palestinian land with complete disregard to international law, UN and the world remaind a mute spectator. 3)Though Hamas refused to recognize Israel but they agreed to permanent ceasefire with 1967 Borders. What they refuse to do is commit mistake of PLO. PLO laid down arms recognised Israel but Israel never accepted a Palestinian state and continues to occupy Palestinian land in West Bank. 4) Operation Al-Aqsa Flood by Hamas was provoked by Israeli aggression and occupation. It is an act of resistance.

I have strict opinion that nonviolence is rubbish strategy while fighting again foreign powers. Whether it's india fighting against British or Palestine fighting against western power led Israel. This is why Palestine is in current condition. Can you imagine Vietnam fighting with usa by non violance? It's suicidal and stupid. If one is fighting against one's own government then it's correct to use non violance but that also has imitations and low level of success. It's wrong understanding that British vacated india due to Gandhi. They left india due to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Imagine Jews fighting with Hitler by non violance.
