More than 250 people were killed when Hamas launched an attack on the Nova Festival over the weekend, taking hostages as well, according to Israeli officials.

Normally we're told to "shelter in place", "lock the doors and stay put" and similar things in the event of an emergency or shooter incident, but this incident shows there are no easy answers that apply across the board. It sounds like this guy's decision to flee on foot and just get away from the crowd was smart as those who sat in their cars were captured or killed.
