I'm American Indian. I'm a minority in the U.S. No one ever asks me how is the occupation? Or how is it surviving as a minority? Jewish people are also a minority and I identify with them because of that. It's hard being marginalized. But "to push for the end of the fighting" sounds nice but here in the U.S., American Indians had to give up their rights to defend themselves by not having or forming a military of our own...so how do you defend your values, culture, and people when you back down and forfeit those rights...? It has ruined our identity through mix-racing and our infamous blood quantum requirement for tribal enrollment to be apart of a federally recognized tribe...I think if you have a military, that's good because in this day and age we need it to defend ourselves...
