A massive fire broke out late Tuesday night near an Israeli military base on Mount Scopus in the occupied East al-Quds, leading to a prolonged battle by firefighters and rescue teams to contain the blaze. The fire, which erupted just before 10 p.m. local time (1900 GMT), was fueled by high winds, posing a significant threat to the Hadassah Hospital and the Ofrit military base in the vicinity. The Israel Fire and Rescue Service reported that two separate fires ignited in the area, causing widespread concern.
